Outline: |
|
This school had been rapidly expanding for several years. To accommodate their growing needs, the administration placed some portable classrooms in 1997. By 1998, these were replaced with a temporary complex comprised of several classrooms.
A year later, the decision was made to add a permanent addition to the existing school. The School was so pleased with the flexibility and compressed time frame of modular construction that they chose to build the addition using the latest in modular building technology. NRB's steel and concrete building methods provide the permanence and performance of traditional methods in a fraction of the time.
Each of the 64 modules was engineered and built with our 5000 series structural steel and a pre-poured concrete floor system. The new addition was created to blend perfectly with the existing school. All features and finishes, except the exterior face brick, were installed at the plant -- so site time and disruption was kept to a minimum. |
