NRB worked closely with the owner’s Architect and General Contractor to produce the 48 prefabricated modules and related components for this 24,000 sq.ft. concrete and steel school facility.

In order to streamline the on site completion of the building, NRB completed all structural elements including the raised clear span clerestory roof over the multipurpose room, curved barrel vault roofs over all of the entrances and exterior concrete decks. As well, NRB completed and commissioned all interior finishes including millwork, fitments, folding partitions, final painting as well as mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems. The General Contractor completed all foundations, exterior building cladding and site work. This division of responsibilities was key to achieving the owner's specified occupancy date.

Building features include custom interior colours throughout providing a bright friendly facility for the students and staff. The multipurpose room includes a 14 foot clear ceiling height with exposed spiral ductwork, trusses and acoustical roof deck as well as acoustical panels.

The multipurpose room roof was raised above the surrounding modules to allow for natural light along both sides.

Sound rated folding partitions in large classrooms were provided to allow for adjustments and variety in classroom sizes.

Energy saving materials such as insulated fibreglass windows, motion activated lighting controls, high efficiency HVAC units and programmable thermostats were installed.
