The client required a traffic control centre, built
to Ministry specifications, to allow the monitoring
of traffic on the Burlington Skyway bridge.

Outline:
The building consisted of three 12'
x 60' modules, which were set on a pier foundation,
supplied and installed by NRB. Each module was manufactured
with all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
preinstalled. Internal connections between the modules
were quickly made on site.
The centre's exterior was finished
in a combination of stone aggregate cladding and metal
siding with a brown fascia. The roof system is a two-ply
modified bituminous membrane.
Interior features include a suspended
acoustical ceiling system, vinyl covered gypsum wall
finish, sheet flooring throughout, plus commercial quality
carpeting. All cabinets and counters were manufactured
and installed prior to shipping. The centre features
a gas-fired HVAC system, washroom, meeting room, offices,
computer room and control centre.
