Structurally, this building was created using both hot rolled and cold rolled steel to provide a non-combustible design. Our 5000 series steel post and beam construction, along with a pre-poured concrete floor, all handled at the NRB facility, result in a rigid structural framing system.

The second section of the building has a rounded vaulted ceiling which is higher than the rest of the units. This presented some transportation challenges. To address this issue while ensuring the owner received precisely the design they required, the module was split horizontally so that the top could be lifted off and lowered into the bottom. When collapsed, the module travelled at only 8' high. Once the building arrived at the site, the roof section was lifted up and placed on the top.

As imaging was a focus, significant attention was paid to architectural features. For example, decorative bulkheads provide space for murals & signage, while cherry-wood type millwork adorns the coffee /bakery area. The building itself has rounded corners to enhance the design, while the vaulted ceiling mentioned previously rises to a full 12 foot height.
