Our “green” modular building design wins the Montgomery County Design Challenge for a more Sustainable Portable Classroom.
The NRB/Triumph Modular/ARC collaboration that took first place in the Montgomery County Public Schools Portable Classroom Design challenge - went on to win once again, an outstanding BEST IN SHOW at the Annual Awards of Distinction in March, 2007 from the Modular Building Institute (MBI) in the Green Classroom Design category. The Reading School District welcomes 2 new Magnet Schools.
NRB received the Second Place, Honorable Mention award at the March 2007 MBI Awards of Distinction in Carslbad, CA in the "Permanent Educational Facilities" category for buildings over 10,000 square feet. This 24,000 square foot modular school was designed using steel and concrete construction that gave the Reading School District the flexibility and speed of the modular construction process as well as the funding it required that is only available for permanent school construction. Design Challenge.
The team of Triumph Modular (Littleton,
MA); NRB, Inc. (Grimsby, Ontario and Ephrata, PA); and Architectural
Resource Cambridge (Cambridge, MA), has combined to win the national
Portable Classroom Design Challenge sponsored by The School District
of Montgomery County, MD. The design contest featured entries
from across the United States and Canada.
